Working with Owlo
For retailers, installers, TV manufacturers and legal content providers who want to offer Owlo to their customers.
What Owlo is
Owlo is a player: users bring their own M3U or Xtream Codes list, from a legal provider, and watch it on the TV, the computer and, soon, the phone and tablet, with a single account for the whole household. Owlo doesn’t include, sell or recommend channels, films or lists.
How it complies with the law
- No video through our servers. The stream goes straight from the user’s provider to their device: we don’t host, relay or store it.
- Nothing shared between accounts. Each account only sees its own list: no common catalog, rankings or “most watched”.
- Provider details encrypted and never shown on the TV.
- Reports under the Digital Services Act (DSA). Anyone can report unlawful use in Reports; we act on the accounts involved and explain the reason to the people affected.
Platforms
Today, Hisense and Toshiba TVs with VIDAA and the computer’s browser; Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS), through their browser, in testing. Android TV, Fire TV and the mobile apps, later. Details in Platforms.
